Awesome mixer. Does a heck of a lot. A technology beast. Smooth. Clean looking and sounding. Wish it had a little more SSL punch & top end definition, but you can get it there with some knob twisting. The one glaring caveat that hit me in the jaw though, was the AVB networking. They claim it to work like a miracle when I was hit in the jaw with dropouts galore. Connecting to a 24r rack mixer, I followed directions to the tee, did all the firmware update stuff, bought a expensive cat 6 cable with the locking connectors...dropouts ruined my night....then I read the checklist of all the things that could be wrong with the setup and all I can think is "Really?! If it's that fragile and difficult to lock into place, is it really worth it?!" I mean a snake wouldn't put me through all of the possible wrongful connection scenarios and if I can't plug it in and get up and running at all...should this feature really be on the market? I mean if it were a car and it stopped & started in the middle of the freeway, it could not be sold or there'd he recalls at least. But in this age if pushing pharmaceuticals through with glaring side effects, I guess, close is close enough..The other thing that bugged me, and this is my fault I guess...but when a mixer claims to be "Class Compliant" and neither of my my Mac computers, nor neither of my 3 iPads (2 if them 1 year old or less) can see the mixer, I feel suspicious. I mean, my Zoom L-12 connects BAM! So quick its like magic dlrufgt of hand I mean read more it gets a wiff of any of these 5 devices and it's "Class Compliantly" locked on!! Ready to cut tracks. You would think a mixer that costs 5 times as much would do even better...but sadly...no...I know, I know...what operating system am I running? Did you download the latest update?! I've never updated my zoom. Not once...and it sees El Capitan, Monterey, and Ventura, and 3 different IOS versions. But I know..."the architecture is much more complex"...well don't advertise it to.be truly class compliant if it's not going to show up to class! 0 is what I say. I mean, what does Class Compliant mean?! But beside those two negatives the mixer is still a beauty to behold. I love it and am going up be cutting tracks and mixing tracks and mixing for some time to come with it. Just know, it's not quite EVVV-ERYY-:THINGG it's proclaimed to be. You might get a bit frustrated, but, heck, focus on the positives. That's what I do.
