Overview
Fender Deluxe Reverb pedal.
The second in the Legend Series is the FDR-1, based on the Fender 1965-era Deluxe Reverb - a coveted tube amp known for its natural touch-responsive and distinctive snappy overdriven sound. In conjunction with Fender, BOSS designed this stompbox to recreate the legendary tone of the 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp. Features include the same controls on the original Deluxe Reverb: Level, Gain, Treble, Bass, Vibrato and Reverb. The FDR-1 also functions perfectly as a "pre-gain pedal" placed before an already overdriven amp to add the tone character of the Deluxe Reverb.

"Seasoned to Perfection"
I love little amps filled with tubey goodness. Unfortunately, they never have on-board reverb. I tried 3 or 4 others, including the holy grail. This, however, was the first reverb in pedal form that created a religious experience for me. It felt thick and springy, slathered with funky decay. All the others seemed a bit boxy and sterile.
Having said that, I understand taste in reverberation experiences is subjective and idiosyncratic. Your mileage, of course, may vary. And, as one other reviewer noted, it seems to tear through the nine-volts like Jimmy Page goes through bow strings.
Musical Background:
35 years. Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Harmonica, other stringy things
Musical Style:
At some point I've done a little of everything, but my home address is probably closest to the blues. Some live playing now, but
