I ordered the natural in satin because I thought it would look slick, and it does, BUT, binding and wood NOT flush on the neck and body, it’s like they used the same tolerances for one they lan to goop with lacquer, but just don’t, and that’s why it’s not flush, no lacquer to flush up the wood with the binding. This is the whole neck and body like this. Tool marks and scratches and scars in the neck pocket, it was made last month but dry as a bone, like it sat for a year in the desert, so dry. They don’t oldish or crown frets anymore I guess, the pickups and the rings that hold the pick ups being one of the main issues with them don’t and won’t cant sit flat with the strings, only at an angle, for almost 3k for a high end guitar, I expect, no I demand mint, American craftsmanship, I’ve had better from Korea.. Memphis made them better. I will be sending this one back, and going with full lacquer. I’ll keep returning them until they send me one that is mint! For this k8nd of m9ney, only mint brand new condition is acceptable. I really don’t suggest a satin finish, you wil” feel ever edge where the binding and body, or binding and neck are NOT flush. It’s almost unplayable. And don’t even get me started on the T Top pickups. I gave it 24 hours, went A/B comparison with all my other gibsons, of which were all blemished in some way, but this is by far the worst guitar I’ve ever purchased from the Nashville plant. I miss the Memphis factory! They just made them better. Much much better. Returnin* this ASAP. I recommend going with full lacquer. They read more don’t adjust tolerances for it not being there… Otherwise, it sounds, ok, if the setup wasn’t so bad. zZounds was great. As always. This is Gibson Nashville. They are sending out junk again. Don’t put up with it!
