Laney LG20R Guitar Combo Amplifier (20 Watts, 1x8")

Enjoy genuine Laney tone from the comfort of your bedroom with the LG20R! Beef up your chops by playing along to your favorite music thanks to the aux input.

A great practice amp to learn your riffs before you go on stage. The LG20R is an open back guitar combo amp featuring 20 watts output power into a 8" custom designed speaker. Laney wrapped this amplifier up in a solidly constructed cabinet, with a leather handle, rubber feet and black plastic corners.

The LG20R has a split channel preamp layout that gives you separate clean and drive level controls through a shared master EQ with bass, mid and treble. It has a headphone socket for private practicing and a CD/MP3 jack so you can play along with your favorite recordings. The built-in spring reverb has separate level control.

My first amp as a kid was a Crate GX212. Loved that thing. I graduated to a Peavey Classic 30, which is still my all time favorite, but now I am old and live in a tiny apartment with paper thin walls and have no band nor gigging shows in my future. I chose the LG20 for it's simple, familiar control panel and what, at least on youtube videos, was great tone at low volumes. Well, this thing does not disappoint. Perfect chiming solid state clean tones and gnarly crunch and shred tones. Has more dynamic range than the old school, super compressed solid state amps of old, and is also wicked loud for 20 watts. Probably can't play with a full band with a drummer, but I can't turn it up past 2 at home. Most recent amp was a Katana, which I loved and could gig with, but I like the tone of this amp a little better and it is just so small and light. Great work, Laney!
