When purchasing my latest guitar amp, I decided to get a new amp stand with it. I was surprised when I found this stand because I hadn't seen anything like it. It was much more than other stand without the boom so I took a chance on it. What a great choice to do. The boom tucks back out of the way when not in use (which is where it spends most of its time) but when I go to a gig, it is perfect mic placement everytime. No mic stand to trip over and no unnecessary stress on a cable from the full weight of a microphone. I'm also a professional sound engineer and am now telling all the bands I work with about this thing. I only wonder why no one thought of this sooner.
