Sound
I've only recently bought this amp, so am still experimenting, but so far, it sounds pretty good. In a live setting, in Channel 1, I used an SM57 mic on my Wildwood Paragon banjo; I rolled off some of the treble and the banjo sounded better than it usually does. At home I've tried using a Beta58 mic and this gave an even warmer sound, again with a lot of treble rolled off.In Channel 2, I used a line in from a K&K pickup on my Gibson Hummingbird acoustuc guitar. This also sounded good (fairly 'flat' settings on tone controls).
Lots of volume, easy to be heard in a band setting
Because I run both a guitar and a banjo at the same time when playing live, this is for home-use only, but when I run one instrument only and use both a mic and a line-in on the one instrument, I can easily and quickly shape an excellent sound.
Features
Very friendly light weight.
The digital effects are ok, but I didn't fiddle with them much as the numeric display on the digital effects is ridiculously small and virtually impossible to read without a magnifying glass.
One feature that would be very useful is: channel switching
Quality
The amp looks and feels great. Time will tell as to its reliability.
Value
Having auditioned a few other acoustic amps, this one seems to be the best value for the money.
