The On-Stage MS9701TB Plus heavy duty tele boom microphone Stand features heavier die-cast leg housings, thicker tubing and premium threads. An ergonomic center clutch grip, coupled with an anti-rotating device on the lower shaft, makes for easy one-hand height adjustments. An all-metal boom clutch, zinc die-cast end caps, steel boom, and removable counterweight make the MS9701TB truly professional. The telescoping boom arm provides the right boom length for any application.

"Good for our drummer"

This is a nice mix between heavy duty and light weight in a telescoping boom stand. You might say: "It adjusts every which way but loose." Our drummer is a left-handed, gadget-oriented knob twirling mix of artistic and mechanical human-metronome. He can be very finnicky about adjusting items to his own satisfaction. He is pleased and content and we expect many years of use from this stand. It is a step up from your basic boom and the mic is where it should be and the stand is completely out of his way.

I play all styles and various instruments although vocals are my specialty.
