The Dunlap 65 ultraglide does the job used on string with maple fingerboard looked the product up on Google to see of safe suggestions or purchaser to do same my older strings felt very smooth it nit to increase your finger speed bit cleans and protects string I do recomend purchasing your supply from zZounds Dunlap ulraglide string cleaner and other Dunlap 65 guitar maintenance kit im happy with my purches and zzound given me the privilege to play as i pay.wow factor 100%...RocknRollflat5
