Your Schecter PT electric guitar sports a stylish Telecaster-inspired look with its single-cut alder body, and powerful classic rock tone modeled after renowned axe-slinger Pete Townsend from The Who. Its bright and snappy maple neck houses 22 XJ frets with comfortable action. The Grover Rotomatic tuners offer an 18:1 gear ratio to provide finer tuning capability, and a pair of Schecter SuperRock II humbuckers with push/pull coil-splitting provides your amp with troves of tone to play around with. Even Eddie Vedder has been known to shoulder this bad boy -- try one on, and you'll see why so many guitarists rate it so highly!

Slick-Looking Alder Body

The Schecter PT's alder body features a single-cut contour that looks sleek and grants your fingers easy access to those higher frets. Alder is a medium-weight tonewood that resonates a full-bodied tone with focused lows and beefy mids. The highs are there, but they're less emphasized here than in brighter-sounding woods like maple.

Maple Bolt-on Neck in Thin C Shape

The maple neck on your Schecter PT features 22 XJ frets with comfortable action and smooth playability. Bolt-on necks have more twang and snap when compared to set necks. As a tonewood, maple has a rounded rightness that'll help your signal cut through the mix. Also, if you're not into bulkier necks, the thin C shape of this melodic appendage will afford a better fit for your hand.

Two Hot-Sounding Schecter SuperRock II Humbuckers

A pair read more of Schecter SuperRock II humbuckers boast a powerful and punchy output. Alnico-V pole pieces in each humbucker will push the mids -- perfect for the lead player. Utilize your push/pull tone control to engage single-coil mode for a hot vintage tone and greater sonic variety.

Schecter PT Electric Guitar

Schecter doesn't just build great guitars, they create them. Like works of art, each design is a work of art, individual, but still showing Schecter examples of quality in durability, playability, and of course, sound.

Grover Rotomatic tuners with 18:1 gear ratio

The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Maple Fingerboard

Very bright and dense, maple is highly reflective. When used on a fretboard, maple encourages tremendous amounts of higher overtones and its tight, almost filtered away bass favors harmonics and variations in pick attack.

Schecter SuperRock II Pickups

Made with giant sized Alnico-V pole pieces give this pickup an aggressive midrange growl. The well-balanced coil winding make this pickup perfect for a wide range of styles of music. Great vintage tone in single coil mode when push-pull knob is pulled up.

Maple Neck

Maple has a uniform grain, its strong and stable, and it has less reaction from environmental changes than other hardwoods. Its tone is highly reflective, and focuses more energy onto the body wood. Maple transfers a bright tone to the body which complements the warm tones of a mahogany body

Bridge PT-H

This Hardtail bridge is designed with a 'String Thru' body and Humbucker spacing for optimum sound.

"Great guitar"

This guitar might be the best guitar I've ever played, which might be somewhat of a surprise given the price, but it feels good, it plays well, it sounds amazing. There's a reason why this guitar has 40+ reviews and it has a perfect 5 stars. I think I'm most surprised by the pickups. I think they're import copies of the Schecter Superrock. I bought this guitar expecting to swap them out for some Black Winters, but I think I'm going to hold off for a while. These are fat and punchy, and they sounds really thick (but not muddy) under high gain. In my experience, lower output pups get kind of honky when I increase the gain. Not these. This bite and snarl and bark better than a lot of passives I played. The cleans sounds good too, but I play black metal with this baby, so I don't play it clean too much. I prefer actives for clean anyway.

metal (black and thrash)
