The S2 Series began in 2013 to provide players with the fit, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a fresh, straightforward design. Since its introduction, the Series has grown from three models to more than a dozen options for players - one of the most recent introductions being the S2 McCarty 594. The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 has been specially appointed to celebrate the Series' milestone occasion and to deliver more tone, more beauty, and more value than ever before.

The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 builds on the original specs of the S2 McCarty 594, retaining a maple top, mahogany back, 24.594" scale length, 22-fret Pattern Vintage neck, PRS two-piece bridge, and vintage-style tuners. Special appointments include: a Cuban mahogany neck, mother of pearl bird inlays, and - most notably - USA-made PRS 58/15 LT pickups and electronics. PRS 58/15 LT ("low turn") pickups are vintage-inspired pickups with exceptional clarity. Designed to capture the sweetness of vintage single coils and the warmth of late 1950's humbuckers and fine-tuned using the PRS TCI process, these pickups are lively and open with focused midrange and balanced treble and bass.

1,000 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 Limited Edition instruments will be made.

This guitar is so awesome. I’ve owned Gibson Les Pauls all my life; 59 Reissue custom shops, USA standards… and let me tell you, this PRS is better. At only $2399, you’re getting a 1 piece mahogany back! You can’t even get a 1 piece back on a Les Paul nowadays unless you buy a Custom Shop. This Guitar has the tone of a great Les Paul, anyone who says it lacks “balls” has obviously never played one of these.Did I mention the single coil tap sounds from this guitar are usable too? This guitar is a winner and a keeper!!!Best $2400 I’ve ever spent on a guitar. You’d need to spend twice as much on a Gibson custom shop R8 to get this tone.
