Innovate and craft your sound using this 50w combo. Using a Celestion Midnight 60 12" speaker, the Origin50C provides a classic all-valve, rich and harmonic Marshall tone. This amp has a classic styling and contains contemporary features, including a power reduction feature which perfectly matches with performing on stage and practicing in the studio. With an included 2-way footswitch, you can turn the gain boost and the FX loop on and off.

You can add in an extra level of gain using the footswitchable gain boost feature to create extra distortion in your sound. By using the tilt control you can blend your sound between normal and high treble to access the sound that suits you. From performing on stage to practicing in the studio, Marshall's power reducing technology, Powerstem, allows you to have high, medium or low power modes to work with your environment. The presence control will increase high frequency and when the master volume is increased you can get that classic overdrive sound.

Over the years, I’ve owned JCM 800s, JCM 900s, JCM 2000s and a 50 Watt Plexi. I’m mostly influenced by Page, Clapton, etc. and this amp got that sound for me. Easy to dial in a good tone and the stock speaker sounds surprisingly good. This mostly sounded like my 1987X 50 watt Plexi except the tilt control on the Origin 50 helped me dial in the right amount of high end and I’m able to play it at home without my neighbors hating me. If you’re after the classic Marshall sound from the late 60s/70s, this is probably the amp for you. If you need more gain, then you’ll need to use an overdrive or distortion pedal which will sound great with this amp.
