The PA60 provides the accompaniment and power of Korg's flagship PA80 in a more affordable instrument with a 2x15-watt built-in 2-speaker system, and no To Host output.
Korg has been an innovator in the area of music workstations since their inception, with both traditional instruments like the Trinity and Triton, and unique performance/production systems like the i30 and the iS series. Now Korg blends the benefits of each approach into a single great-sounding system, the PA-60 Professional Arranger. With a stunning sound inherited from the award-winning Triton, a large variety of highly musical styles made by the best musicians in the world, a multi-tasking operating system and a revolutionary sequencer design, this new keyboard will bring the benefits of Korg's revolutionary songwriting and music production and performance to a whole new generation of musicians.
Features
The Sound Generation is based on Korg's Triton HI (Hyper Integrated Synthesis) System, making the PA-60 to sound exactly like a Professional Synthesiser: a total of 32MB of voices are available.
160 Performance locations are available to store configurations, including Upper 1-2-3 and Lower Tracks sounds, Pads, Transposition, Effects, etc.
2 totally independent sequencers can be run together and mixed via a Crossfader.
Each sequencer has its own separate control set and they can read 2 songs at the same time directly from disk.
All the internal 304 styles can be modified and saved. Each style can recall… read more its own Performance, including the settings for the accompaniment tracks and four settings (STS) for the real-time tracks.
Where traditional workstations provide you an empty palette to start your idea with, the PA-60's Backing Sequencer takes advantage of the accompaniment system.
The onboard 16-Tracks sequencer allows Realtime or Step-by-Step recording. All editing is intuitive and easy to use, while 4 fully programmable Stereo Digital Effects can be used at the same time to create an exciting and professional mixdown.
PA-60 is compatible with "I-Series" (i3, iS40, i30, etc.) models' style files. PA-60 is also compatible with most Pa80 data.
Four Pads can be individually programmed for each Performance and STS. Pads can be assigned to preset sounds or to functions that replicate pedal assignments.
The solid-state disk, which can hold up to 20 MB of compressed data, is the latest in disk technology and gives higher performance than ordinary Flash Rom.
A powerful multitasking operating system allows you to load a new style while one is playing, load a new Program while a Song is playing, and even edit sounds or Global parameters while listening to your song ideas.
Ease-of-use has driven the styling with a logical control panel and linear structuring to give you fast access to the most commonly used functions at the touch of a button.
Featuring a newly designed 2 x 15 watt amplification/speaker system, which includes a fixed equalizer for smooth, deep, and powerful sound playback.
