JHS AT Mini Andy Timmons Signature Overdrive Pedal
Overview
In 2016 JHS released Andy Timmons' signature overdrive, the AT -- or as everybody ended up calling it, "the @." It started in 2013 when Andy bought a JHS Angry Charlie and made it his main lead channel, beating out the distortion channels of the boutique amps he's known for. JHS and Andy met at NAMM, discussed some ideas for his own version, and soon after, the AT was born.
The AT Mini is the original V1 AT circuit, permanently set in Andy's preferred 100-watt mode -- the open, loud, less-compressed voicing with the most volume and the most amp-like crunch. No toggle. Just the setting the guy whose name is on the pedal uses.
If you need the most authentic British distortion lead and rhythm sound you can find -- one that perfectly replicates the punch, saturation, and unmistakable feeling of standing in front of a stack of loud amplifiers -- this is it.
- WHAT'S DIFFERENT
This is the same exact circuit as the V1.
Same four knobs. Smaller box, smaller price.
- FIRST: JHS put it in a new enclosure -- a compact case that gives you back valuable board real estate.
- SECOND: JHS removed the wattage toggle and set the voicing to 100 watts.
- THAT'S IT: Volume, Drive, EQ, and Air all work exactly as they always have.
If you want the 25-watt and 50-watt voicings, or the independent footswitchable boost channel, that's the AT+. Still in the JHS Pedals catalog. Still $219.
If you want Andy's tone with Andy's exact setting in a smaller footprint for $129, this is it.… read more
- Four controls: Volume, Drive, EQ, Air
- Fixed 100-watt voicing
- 9VDC to 18VDC center negative, 10mA
- Assembled in Kansas City
