Overview
With great clarity, the Ibanez AE315FMH acoustic guitar's all solid flamed Okoume body generates a dynamic frequency range from deep lows to sparkling highs. The AE body shape features contemporary design elements to achieve high playability and create a well-balanced sound that adheres to the concept of the flagship AE series. The combination of the specially designed Scalloped X Bracing and Tone Projection Back Bracing produces a versatile sound character. A rich sustain is provided, which works for both finger and plectrum playing. The fretboard inlay has a delicate but dynamic design. The wooden inlays give a sophisticated feel to the guitar.
The compact, onboard active preamp simply features a mute switch to eliminate unexpected parameter changes during performances. This helps reduce the guitar's size and weight, minimize body contact, and maximize the acoustic tone. The newly designed under-the-saddle pickup equalizes the volume from each string and delivers a well-balanced signal. The natural acoustic tone from this active circuit is remarkably stable and resists noise. It will support performances on stage, from solos to ensembles.

"A very nice guitar!"

I just bought this guitar a few days ago. I have been playing for over 50 years and have owned many guitars from the major companies. As Usual Ibanez comes up with a winner! The open pore finish is beautiful and the wooden vine inlays on the fingerboard are exquisite. The action was pretty good right out of the box and here in wet Washington that is a rare event. I just tweaked it 1/4 turn and all good. The odd part is the electronic set up. It’s just a small plug and removable battery assembly with 2 cr2032 watch style batteries. There’s no volume or tone adjustments or tuner. I guess the concept was to keep a nice open acoustic sound. Mission accomplished! It truly sounds acoustic and pure, plugged in or not. Though this gave me pause at first after knocking down a few of my favorite songs I was very pleased. At this price point it’s well done and comparable to similar instruments at a higher price. Again on course for Ibanez!
