I just bought this guitar a few days ago. I have been playing for over 50 years and have owned many guitars from the major companies. As Usual Ibanez comes up with a winner! The open pore finish is beautiful and the wooden vine inlays on the fingerboard are exquisite. The action was pretty good right out of the box and here in wet Washington that is a rare event. I just tweaked it 1/4 turn and all good. The odd part is the electronic set up. It’s just a small plug and removable battery assembly with 2 cr2032 watch style batteries. There’s no volume or tone adjustments or tuner. I guess the concept was to keep a nice open acoustic sound. Mission accomplished! It truly sounds acoustic and pure, plugged in or not. Though this gave me pause at first after knocking down a few of my favorite songs I was very pleased. At this price point it’s well done and comparable to similar instruments at a higher price. Again on course for Ibanez!

I wasn't really to sure about ordering this guitar. My main concern was the electronics. No volume or tonal controls on the preamp was my main concern. I went by the other review here and figured if it sounded nice there would be no loss... It is an acoustic! And wow. What tone.. It sounds as full as my Taylor and way better than my Washburn. On top of that is the most natural acoustic pick up and preamp I think I've ever heard. Seriously, there is no coloration or change in tone with the preamp that I can discern. A big thanks to the author of the other review. This is a really nice guitar by any measure.
