I received this Heritage h535 within the same few days as my Guild f1512, and while they are apples and oranges to some extent (the h535 is a semihollow, the guild a 12 string acoustic), they were both new guitars. The Heritage would be very playable right out of the box, a pristine guitar that felt perfect in my hands immediately. I checked the truss rod to ensure it had some tension (it was already adjusted perfectly, a tiny bit of relief), raised the stop bar to get my preferred break angle, tuned up, sounded and played like a million bucks. Hot-ish pickups, amazing playability, I'm sure this guitar competes with any similar model out there and needed the smallest amount of setup I have ever encountered - even the intonation was so close I haven't bothered adjusting it. The finish is flawless, the hardware very sturdy, the whole guitar is close to perfection. The Guild on the other hand... highest action I have ever seen on a new guitar (this may be by design with a 12 string acoustic, but really, like 3/8" at least nearer the body). The truss rod was slack, I had to give it several turns, sand half a femur off the bottom of the saddle, and it's still pretty high. The headstock veneer has a seam that makes it look like it was salvaged from a broken headstock. Two guitars couldn't be more different.
