Overview

This exclusive GT design features special "heat wings" attached to plate for more power, longer life, and better tone. The 1st choice of Matchless and many pro players including Billy Gibbons, Joe Perry, and Joe Walsh, these tubes are very dynamic, and produce a big bottom. The most powerful in their class.

EL34 Type (typical power ranges from 25 to 38 watts)
This is the Classic pentode power tube used in Marshall, Hiwatt, Laney, and similar Euro type amps. These tubes have a big bottom and a crisp top end that get crunchy when pushed hard. It also has sort of a hollow midrange response. These are the choice of the modern rockers, a la British Rock and Heavy Metal.

Preamp tubes: Warranted to be free of burn out, excessive noise, or microphonics for 180 day from date of purchase.

Power tubes: Warranted to be free of burn out for 90 days from date of purchase. If one tube fails, the whole set will be replaced to ensure proper matching.

GT-Solid Rectifiers and Substi-tubes: Warranted for 3 years from date of purchase.

Sound

These tubes have given me the sound I hear in my head and hoped that my Marshall 1987x re-issue could achive. I tried several tube duets, some dissapointing and some were good but the GT EL34's have just pushed it into that relam of classic Marshall sound with leaving me a range of dynamics that are pleasing to the ear. Note; these (EL34's) work intensely awesome with the high gain set of 12AX7's. A set matched specifically for Marshalls, check it out. I have used this match of pre-amp and power tubes a few times in the psat 8yrs, I play this Marshall constantly. They yeild plently of life and do not burn up as quickly as other tubes. My amp is pushed day & night 7 days a week along with a Marshall Power Brake which seems to kill tubes a little quicker; another reason why I cherish these tubes, they really hold up. I think the whole key is finding what works well with your amp along in combination with pre amp to power amp tubes. It's hard when money is tight so start with tubes that are in your price range, many times you'll be surprised with what you might find. There are plenty of good affordable tubes out there. Most cases, the most exspensive is not always the best.

I have been purchaseing these tubes for years and never had any problems or issues with them. The last time I changed tubes on power tube was defective and GT Support was excellent resolving the issue. I had my original recipt which made things easy but it was a quick transaction.
