Think you'll never own a finely tuned shred machine? Think again. The ESP LTD EC1000 Deluxe is a lean, mean, speed machine, with the tone and feel of a custom-shop thrasher, but at a price that will have you rubbing your eyes in disbelief.

For the simple strumming and quaint melodic lines of old-time rock'n'roll, the basic guitar designs of yesteryear are good enough -- but if you want to shred with speed and accuracy, you'd better make sure your axe is up to the challenge. You'd better be sure it won't go out of tune easily, has screaming tone, and plays faster than a speed demon on ice skates. The ESP LTD EC1000 Deluxe meets all those criteria -- and looks darn good doing it.

Impeccable Action

The first thing you'll notice when you pick up your new EC1000 is the impeccable action. Your strings can only go as low as your highest fret, so ESP takes great care in seating the frets, making sure there are no speed bumps on the riffage expressway. The neck profile is awesome too; not so chunky that it'll slow you down, but still substantial enough that switching between single-note arpeggios and meaty power chords feels natural and comfortable.

Serious Sustain

The set neck joint is solid, but won't get in the way of upper register soloing, even when you're wailing on the 24th fret. A Tonepros locking bridge with stop tailpiece has individually tunable saddles, as well as an adjustable overall height, so you'll be able to dial in the exact action that suits your playing… read more style. EMG Pickups on Select Finishes

Used to have 16 guitars to choose from when I Gigged,My favorite was a 1976 Black Beauty Les Paul Custom...Unfortuneately ,I'm a Disabled Gulf war Vet and had some health issues arise...along with having to stop working and Medical Bills mounting up..I had to sell my Beloved "Family" of guitars/Gear. I've had a couple of MIM Fender Fat Strats that I Modded..put Seymours in,worked on the necks/frets,ended up with Nice,Playable,Great sounding guitars. BUT,I ALWAYS and WILL Always miss my Les Paul. About a week ago,I saw an Amber Flametop ESP LTD EC1000 Deluxe (BLEM) for $759,4 payment option....Read the reviews,talked to friends/other Guitar Players,and I Pulled the Trigger.... It came the Next Day on a Sat..(I live in S Jersey,so I'm CLOSE to zZounds Warehouse,That was Nice Surprise #1 ) It came INTACT,No Manual or Warranty card,but ,had the Truss Hex Wrench. The ONLY THING I FOUND Were SMUDGES on the Stopbar/Body... I have had a Mag Light over this Axe...NOTHING TO REPORT,No Electronics issues,No Neck Issues..Intonation...Perfect,all I had to do was Lower the String Height a Gnat's Hair and I Now have the CLOSEST GUITAR TO MY '76 Black Beauty in Tone,Playability,and, BEAUTIFUL LOOKS...FOR A FEW GRAND LESS ...Win,Win,Win !!!! All I can figure is someone Bought it,and returned it...WHY..I have NO IDEA...GUITAR IS 5X5 and I can Die a Happy Camper now...Seymours MAKE the Guitar Sing or SCREAM....Very Happy with this Purchase,With zZounds,and , just need to buy a NICE Case for… read more it now..
