Ernie Ball 6180 Mono Volume Pedal Junior for use with Passive Electronics

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Get two distinct swell rates with this volume pedal. It offers 250 kOhm resistance suitable for passive instruments, and a dedicated tuner out jack.
Overview
For the performer who prefers a smaller more straight forward volume pedal the Ernie Ball 6180 is the right choice. The Junior takes passive electronics and provides you with two different volume swell options. A micro taper switch takes up less space than a full sized switch, perfect for those over crowded pedalboards.
The potentiometer has a 250k ohm resistance suitable for the audio path of passive instruments. Behind the jack area under the footplate is a micro taper switch which provides the user two distinct volume swell rates. The main pivot shaft is of centerless ground 1/2' diameter stainless steel, precision seated though nylon bushings at both ends. Tough long lasting Kevlar cable transmits pedal travel to the controls and is attached by stainless steel springs.

This is a GREAT volume pedal. It gets some bad reviews for tone loss. I know a lot of people send these off to be modded and I was planning to do that. If you run your overdrive before the volume, you should not experience this "tone loss" so many others speak of. Personally I don't hear ANY tone loss or problems and it works great for what I do. I am primarily an acoustic Americana singer/songwriter, but I also play worship guitar and needed a volume pedal for ambient swells/Daniel Lanois type stuff. This volume pedal is one of the best sellers for good reason....it's GREAT!!!!
