Check out the Epiphone Les Paul Special II in this demonstration:

Your First Les Paul!

The Epiphone Les Paul Special-II LE guitar has a laminated alder/maple body and a bolt-on mahogany neck. The scale length on the neck is 24.75 inches, which makes it exactly the same size as the majority of all electric guitars, and thus a perfect learning instrument! The fingerboard is poplar composite and has position marker inlays on 9 frets.

Just like its big brother Les Pauls, the Special II has two humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge positions. Master Volume and Tone Controls are located in the familiar spot just under the nickel StopBar tailpiece. The tuning pegs up top are nickel as well.

10-Watt Practice Amp Included

When you're ready to plug this baby in, you'll use the supplied instrument cable to connect with the Electar 10-watt amplifier. This is a great little practice amp, but don't worry -- it won't have the neighbors calling the police unless you push it all the way up. A 3-band EQ lets you begin experimenting with sound control on an electric amplifier. A headphone read more jack is there for late-night practicers!

Ordered this yesterday, and less than 24hrs its in my hands. zZounds is simply the BEST!!Ive played guitar most of my 50yrs,and now getting my son into music. As a parent, never buy expensive gear cause you'll never know if they'll stick with it. But don't go so cheap, they'll get frustrated and quit.Epiphone is owned by Gibson, and makes some of the best guitars available. This package is AWESOME. The guitar is stunning, perfectly set up right outta the box,and includes all the accessories.Sound is great, neck is laser straight, action is perfect, amp gives a TON more than you'd expect for the size. Seriously...I've owned a bunch of guitars, and don't let the price fool you..this is a fine instrument. It holds its own any day against any $1500 one on the market. Its good enough that if my son doesn't stick with it,I'll be using it. Seriously.. You can't beat it at this price.Your basically buying the guitar and getting everything else for free. Second time ordering from zZounds and, they are amazing. They'll keep getting my business
