Rather than blab on, I'll just get to the details. The fit and finish is excellent. The fretwork is typical FujiGen quality = Great. The neck feels like every other modern Charvel and is very smooth and fast. I chose the Metallic Red model and it's bright but not ridiculous, and looks much better in the hand than in pictures. It reminds me of some of the PreProd models from back in the day. The guitar is average weight just under 8 pounds. It's well balanced for sitting or standing, and there's no noticeable neck dive. The neck heel looks like a Fender American Pro II in the photos, but it's a more drastic shave and upper fret access is very easy. It does not get in the way at all. The tuners are decent and the Gotoh 1996 trem was very easy to set up and has been holding tune really well in the few days I've been punishing it. The Ibanez EJK1000 intonation tool fits perfect to make intonation much less hassle. The guitar was set up to play out of the box, but I did lower the action a bit to suit my tastes. I was able to get it down to 1mm at the 12th fret with no buzzing or fretting out. It plays very very well and feels excellent. It sounds like a hot rodded HSS Strat and would be at home playing just about any genre of music. I appreciate that it comes with Dunlop StrapLocks and a softshell case. I can't really find anything negative to say about this guitar. I'm extremely happy with it. I think anyone who appreciates a well built super-strat would enjoy this guitar. It's not read more just for old 80's heads like me :) I highly recommend it!
