The preamps are terrible if you are plugging a microphone in directly. It isn't loud enough to entertain three people in a small basement. If you plug an acoustic guitar directly in, it can handle that pretty well as a line. You have to use a passive mixer in order to get all the volume out of a microphone that you would need. Kind of defeats the purpose of the portable array system but ultimately I'll keep it because it solves a guitar volume issue I had for electric effects. I have a splitter for my acoustic that runs to a fishman amp and the other channel goes to this column with electric effects and they sound great.

The app is garbage and rarely connects even if you have a strong Wi-Fi signal, so if you're gigging don't count on using it.

Sounds best with an acoustic guitar and a little bit of reverb with the line selected. Must use external mixer to get vocal volume desired.

I buy a lot of Alto products, but oddly enough the alto busker has a much better preamp for vocals. I just did a gig with the 108 C column array and Alto busker as my main vocals at a country club and it sounded wonderful!
