Hey everybody, this is Justin with zZounds, and this is a "Things to Know" video on the Walrus Audio Fundamental Fuzz. This is a really special pedal because it's very affordable but sounds incredible, and there are a few reasons why.

There are three different modes that you can activate with the switch down here: Bias Mode, Classic Mode, and Mid Plus Mode. The Bias Mode is super interesting because it creates that starved fuzz, kind of a gated sound. A good thing to know is that you’ll lose volume when you use that, so make sure that if you’re using that gated setting, you increase the volume to make up for it.

Another good thing to know about this pedal is that the tone control on it is a cut. Left of center will cut your highs, and right of center will cut your lows. You can experiment and get different flavors that way.

Overall, you can get Big Muff-like tones or even those starved, gated fuzzes. So, despite its simple layout, this thing is very versatile.
