Dunlop Jerry Cantrell JC95B Wah Wah Pedal

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
The Dunlop JC95B wah pedal features artwork based on Jerry Cantrell's tribal orca tattoo, and is part of a limited run of just 500 pedals.
Overview
The super popular Dunlop Jerry Cantrell Cry Baby Wah just got a makeover, and it’s all about going back to the riff master’s Seattle roots. The distressed black finish recalls the visual vibes of the Alice in Chains record Rainier Fog while the custom treadle design is based on Jerry’s own tribal orca tattoo, created by Coast Salish artist Joe Wilson. As a sweet final touch, the bottom plate features the full lyrics to the song “Rainier Fog” from the aforementioned album. Limited to 500 pieces, this Cry Baby Wah is a must-have for Alice in Chains devotees and players who want that distinctly vocal wah sound.

This is my second JC 95, my other being the original in the distressed copper housing...unfortunately the switch on that one went bad on me, so I needed a replacement while I wait on the switch to be replaced in my other one. Tone wise, I absolutely love the JC95 above all other Cry Baby Wah pedals, largely because of its darker overall tone, and because it has a nice wide sweep compared to some other options. I also love the ability to adjust the frequency sweep, though I keep it rolled all the way off for a deeper throatier tone. All in all a great pedal. I have no issue with quality despite the switch on my other one going, it was after all over 10 years old and I have used it pretty hard over that course of time...more than once it has been the victim of a beverage spill while at a gig. Bottom line, if you're looking for a wah pedal that's a little different from the rest and that has a nice wide frequency sweep, this is just the ticket.
