Epiphone's Inspired by Gibson Collection proudly presents the Les Paul Standard 50s! This guitar lovingly recreates the feel and tone of the 1950s-era Les Pauls. Epiphone's long friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940 when Les built one of the world's first solid body electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. Les' first solid body guitar, nicknamed "the Log," would go on to inspire the Les Paul Standard, which many consider the greatest electric guitar ever made.

This guitar is crafted with a mahogany body with a maple cap, a bound '59 Rounded Medium C-shaped mahogany neck with long neck tenon, and 22 medium jumbo frets, Epiphone's Vintage Deluxe tuners, a pair of critically acclaimed Epiphone Probucker humbuckers, and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. This Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Original model also has the Kalamazoo headstock, GraphTech nut, era-appropriate wiring, and CTS pots. A premium gig bag is also included.

Just bought this guitar in Cherry Sunburst. Fabulous guitar. For $700 this guitar is amazing. Look, feel & sound is top notch. Flame on the body is a real eye catcher. Set up was so so. I applied my favorite strings Daddario NYXL 9-42, lowered the action & I am in Les Paul heaven. I also bought a Epiphone hardshell case because this guitar deserves it. This experience was one of my best with zZounds. My thanks to Epiphone/Gibson & zZounds.
