Just bought this guitar in Cherry Sunburst. Fabulous guitar. For $700 this guitar is amazing. Look, feel & sound is top notch. Flame on the body is a real eye catcher. Set up was so so. I applied my favorite strings Daddario NYXL 9-42, lowered the action & I am in Les Paul heaven. I also bought a Epiphone hardshell case because this guitar deserves it. This experience was one of my best with zZounds. My thanks to Epiphone/Gibson & zZounds.

The quality of this guitar is insane. Yes I came from a beat down squier but this thing is beautiful and plays amazingly and sounds even better. Pick ups are amazing. Pots great and the playability is insane. My wife said she didn’t realize how cramped my hand was on a 7.25”. Can’t wait to get the next. zZounds is by far the best store I’ve shopped at. Being able to pay it off helped me and my wife gain a hobby together.

Wow this is a great sounding taste the music guitar. When I first pulled the guitar out of the box it was love at first sight. The only problem was the bridge was high on bass side lowered it ,plugged it in and was going to review yesterday but that sound would not let me put it down. Slow slurpy blues, classic rock, jazz and country spring forth like the dam had been blown. I didn't even have to plug my crybaby in.

"Great guitar....except the one I got apparently"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

It's a great instrument, except for a ONE thing. The nut was not glued and was only secured buy the string tension on the instrument.
Sound
When I got this guitar it sounded good, not great. It had a "twang" to it. So I figured meh I'll swap out the strings and do a proper setup on it. Other than the twang it COULD sound good, even great.
Features
ALMOST everything on the instrument is great. The build quality IS there. The electronics are true to the 50s style and are made of good material. The issue I had was the previously mentioned "twang." Well I found out why quickly. When I got my slinky hybrids in to swap out to, I started to remove the original strings. As they were removed I noticed that as the tension released the nut was moving. Well the only way that nut was staying in place was that the string tension was keeping it there yeah, that's right they didn't even bother to secure the nut in place. But it's all good because like I've said time and time again zzounds customer service is rock solid and the reason why I have exclusively buying my instruments from them for the last 2 1/2 years. Bc when I contacted them they reimbursed me the amount I was quoted to have a 3rd party secure the nut.
Ease of Use
After the nut was secured properly it's easy to get any and every sound that you want from this instrument. Whether it's delta blues or squealing big hair 80s rock.
Quality
Again, other than the nut (which I'm sure was a Friday special) the instrument is solid, made with care in every other aspect.
Value
It's hard to say if it's worth the original price tag. Would I spend the $700 on it again? Maybe. It seems that it's most likely should be priced in the $600-650 range. But because it's an inspiration guitar with the les Paul name, they obviously had to add that extra $50-100 to the price tag.
Manufacturer Support
No
The Wow Factor
The appeal is definitely there. I've wanted a gold top les Paul for forever. But like most musicians I'm poor lol I'm not i just don't have $2k-3k for a Gibson, just because it says "Gibson."
