Passport: Self Contained Sound Systems
The introduction of Fender's Passport Sound Systems defined the truly portable PA system. Designed with simplicity, efficiency, and portability in mind, a Passport system is the ideal system for working musicians, acoustic groups, club and lounge performers, and corporate read more and educational presenters alike.

Fender used their years of Pro Audio experience to design unique features into the Passport system. These proprietary features help you take the "mystery" out of great sound. VIP (Vocal Input Priority) circuitry automatically turns down all other signals in the system when you speak into a microphone. This is extremely useful when you are running music through the Passport and want to make an announcement. VIP allows you to be heard without adjusting the mixer. One-touch EQ an extremely powerful tone control circuit takes the guesswork out of getting a great sound quickly. Custom, full-range speakers provide clear sound without feedback. Each speaker cabinet contains 4 specially designed speakers positioned at critical angles to maximize projection and clarity. Durable power supply - delivers clean consistent power (in stereo) whether you are using the Passport with an AC or DC power source.

Each system features flexible input and output connections, tone control on each channel, system tone control, effects send and return, digital reverb, recording outputs, aux input (for CD, cassette or computer), speaker and microphone cables, and P-51 microphone(s).

Once you have used a Passport System, you will see that you do not have to be a sound engineer to get great sound.

I have two 250s and two 150s and am buying a fifth today.

Sound
I've used these Fenders for the better part of 10 years, using them for all kinds of parties including weddings, sock hops, birthday parties and small school proms. Don't expect much bass out of the small four inch speakers, but other than that it's a good solid rig, easy to set up and loud enough to be told to turn it down please.

Features
Sure the reverb isn't what you'd call stellar, but from a unit this size you get more than you pay for. Channel one has a mic dipping function that is user adjustable, which dips the music or other playback when the announcer / dj talks on the microphone. With two stereo inputs and selecatble mic/line switches, this baby is really cool to work with.

Ease of Use
Anyone with a modicum of amp/mixer/speaker experience will be amazed at the versatility and easy use of this package. I also have the PD 150 and it's as useful as it's big brother, with 75 watts per side vs 125. Speaking of, I rarely run these at more than 50% master and channel input, they are loud enough for everything except your bigger crowds of more than 100. Just crank them up on a 7 foot stand and start the party.

Quality
Quality is good. I've just seen the limited white edition and was surprised....if you are a working dj these are gonna get placed in the back of the pick up and over read more time the gray cabs get marks, scuffs and scratches. White I'm afraid would make all that stand out. I prefer the gray and wish it came in black, red or purple. Just joking, but hey, think about it.

Value
Like I said, if you need a good all around speaker, performer or dj package, this is great. In fact, I'm on this site today to purchase another for a dj who tried mine and wants same.

Manufacturer Support
One thing you've got to be careful of though...don't drop them. I now lay mine on their sides during transport in the back of my dodge. They will fall over. Sometimes that will cause internal damage. Replacement cost at a local repair shop is stupid money. The unit cost me 600 new. The power supply and shop labor to fix it? 600.00. They tell me these are built outside the usa and by the time the part arrives, the shop doubles their money then adds labor, it's cheaper to buy a new one. Don't know about factory, but I do need to find my receipt and try to get one fixed from the factory and hope the price is cheaper.

The Wow Factor
These look awesome up on stands.
