"EMX5000-12 fits in this case"

Feature:
I bought this case on a hunch that I would be able to adapt the fit of my Yamaha EMX5000-12 powered mixer. And, BINGO...with a little adaptation with parts from my local home improvement center...the mixer fit into this case quite nicely. Note: you have to remove the side moldings and the back support feet from the mixer before installing.

Quality:
This case is constructed of high quality materials, and the workmanship is second to none.

Value:
Like everyone...I would have enjoyed paying less.

Desirability:
This case shows clearly that I want to keep my mixer in good shape without any dropping damages.

Sound:
Does not apply.

Support:
Haven't needed support.

Overall:
I think that I will have this case for many years. It's great for carrying around a heavy powered mixer without being too bulky.

"Reasonable solution for the money, though quanlity could be higher."

The value for money of the SKB popup case is pretty good and, since there aren't many options in this category, that's a good thing. However, the case's handle design makes it awkward to carry for long distances. The latch hardware doesn't appear to be very secure and, while I have no fear of the rack frame falling down on its own, I sometimes worry that the supports may bind and make it difficult to close when wanted.

But it's fine for in the studio and for the occasional gigs that I do.
