A special "EXP" coating gives these phosphor bronze acoustic bass strings an extended lifespan and an improvement in projection and tone richness.

The EXPPBB170-5 is D'Addario's 5-String version of its most popular acoustic bass set, in a coated EXP version for 4 times more string life. Provides a rich, deep and projecting tone. Fits short scale basses with a string scale length of up to 36 7/8 inches.

EXP Coated Technology starts with the highest quality wrap wire materials, precision drawn and micro coated on our advanced proprietary machinery.
