The XLS 202, 402, and 602 all combine first-class reliability with a number of significant features. A selectable high-pass filter (30Hz/15Hz/Off) on each channel enables the amplifier to work more efficiently when not being used with full-range cabinets or subwoofers, while a pair of linear optocoupler clip limiters helps protect loudspeakers from being overdriven. "Absolutly fantastic in my home stereo rack."

Feature:
I like the simple front mounted controls. It's all I need.

Quality:
There may be more robust amps, but Crown amps have always been well made, even back in the '70's they were well built.

Value:
I think it's great bang for the buck!

Desirability:
It's a power amp- doesn't have to look like any chromed and polished piece of furniture like some others do with damped meters and such. The black finish is simple and gives it a professional look that blends with anything. It meets and exceeds my needs with ease.

Sound:
This is my living room sound system power amp. It is clean and very accurate. Over-all response is clean, smooth and the bass is the best I have had in years. Very well controled.

Support:
I really haven't needed to contact Crown for several years (like more than 20). The one time I did in 1979 it was a pleasn't experience with prompt delivery of what I needed.

Overall:
I used to work for a sound company in the '70's and have dealt with several brands of power amps. Crown was always among the top of the list when it came to clean sound and reliable performance. You buy it, install it, and it works. I consulted my cousin who is presently an instructor for a leading audio engineering school (Sorry, I can't name it) and he highly recommended Crown to me, but not before asking some of his friends who use them and a few other brands professionally on the road and in perminant location professional use. Crown was the best performer for the money so I chose Crown. I just wondered if they were still among the top. They are! I'll never need any other, unless I go with a bi-amp system someday, then it'll be another Crown.

"Great product for church or travel and expect long service. I have a crown amp that is still producing great sound. It is 16 yr"

Quality:
Very Good. Looks good in your rack. Great cooling fans.

Value:
Shop to get the best deal. More expensive than some, but worth the service and warranty---3yrs.

Desirability:
The color plate is cool looking and looks good on the road

Sound:
This Crown Amp is a work horse. This amp is being used to push 6 Small JBL 23T's as a delay system in my church. This covers 140 seats. Before using this amp I was using it in the Youth sound system to power 3 Yamaha concert series 15in speakers. It would pump the bass out and the Crown would not overheat. I love the crown amps. Used to use peavey and QSC's but since I had some overheating problems I switched to Crown Amps I have not had one problem. GReat Product. The Churches system pushes 4500 watts total.

Support:
Never needed support, but I know that they are there if needed.

Overall:
until it dies. Which maybe in 20 yrs.
