JBL JRX215 2-Way PA Passive, Unpowered Loudspeaker

Need some reliable passive PA speakers? JBL to the rescue! With a super-efficient design, the JRX215s deliver pro-level performance for an affordable price. Unpowered. Requires separate power amplifier.

The JBL JRX215 2-Way PA Speaker gives you a rock solid and well-voiced unpowered PA speaker at a nice price. These will take line from pretty much any external amplified source or power amp you're using, and deliver 500 watts of power easily. And with no heavy onboard preamp, these speaker cabinets can do what they do best -- deliver great sound!

Standard I/O

The input section has 1 x Neutrik Speakon NL-4 combo jack and 1 x 1/4-inch TS phone jack.

Plenty of Power

The JRX215 handle 250 watts program, 1000 watts peak power and run with a nominal 8 ohm impedance. They are capable of achieving 128 dB SPL, so yes, they get really loud. Loud enough, at least, for any medium- to large-sized room and/or some outdoor applications (outdoor receptions, concerts in the park, etc).

15-Inch Woofer for Lots of Low-End

Open them up and you'll find a JBL 15-inch low-frequency driver inside with a 64mm (2.5-inch) diameter edgewound ribbon voice coil. Employed on other acclaimed JBL professional loudspeakers, this design provides more cross-sectional wire area to allow the power to flow more freely through this crucial section.

JBL Tweeter Covers the Highs

The JBL 2414H-C 25 mm (1-inch) polymer diaphragm compression driver delivers truly excellent high frequency performance that minimizes system noise and feedback. The compression driver is mounted on the proprietary Progressive Transition Waveguide to achieve maximal coverage with minimal distortion and tighter read more frequency response. Overall, you've got a nominal dispersion of 90 degrees x 50 degrees when you use the JRX215s.

I had a set of JBL 115's for around 7 years and have used them every weekend. They held up better then I expected, they still looked good and sounded great. I knew it was time to replace them if for nothing else "peace of mind" knowing i have upgraded my equipment (bragging point for my clients lol) I was ecstatic to see that my very same speaker was still available in an upgraded version now the 215's. the price is still a great value and the sound is excellent and I have the comfort of knowing I now have many years with these new speakers that i know i can rely on. Thank you JBL!!
