I have 4 of these JBL SRX 812 passive speakers ,I prefer them over powered speakers because of the extra head room, you can get out of a passive speaker, I run them as a mid high's with my JBL SRX 718 subs, I also use them as stage monitors as well as full range speakers for other events such as stage plays or conferences. These speakers do not fizzle out at loud levels, they stay crisp and clear. JBL recommends you power these speakers with 2400 watts per speaker for demanding events, not so demanding minimum 1600 watts per speaker. I use QSC PL 236 Amplifiers Bridged or QSC PLX2 3102 Amplifiers Bridged with DBX Venu360 Processing. Crown XTI4002 Amplifiers are also a good option.
