Sound: With the PMP-3000, I have noticed that the sound is VERY clean. No humming, buzzing, etc. I sing in a Southern Gospel Quartet to tracks most of the time & this powered mixer is doing a GREAT job. None of the members in our group are sound techs. I have some basic knowledge & with a 5 minute crash course it was easy to make this unit function with a quality sound. We are using SM-86's & Beta 87a mics for vocals. Monitors are Behringer B212XL & mains are B215XL. From the time we started unloading for the FIRST time we had it EQ'd & sounding very nice in about 40 minutes. That was with 3 out of 4 people not knowing anything about set-up. It was easy & sounds VERY good! Feature: This unit has more features than I see our present group ever needing. We will be trying to do some live recording through the system, effects are great, & voice cancelation is an option for the near future. As time goes on & we learn more about the funtions, I'm sure I will be even more impressed. Ease of Use: It has been VERY easy to set-up & crank-up. In less than 30 minutes, our quartet can unload, set, & be singing. This is without sound people! Helps us look & sound good right away. Quality: Only time will tell about true quality. We have only set-up about 10 times as of now, but seems to be a GREAT bang for the buck as far as quality goes. I can say sound quality is as good as I've heard for small systems. Rooms up to about 400 seats & maybe more. Value: Right out of the box, the PMP-3000 seems to be a wonderful value. Manufacturer Support: Not needed any so far. So is that a 1 or a 10? The Wow Factor: "Sex appeal" or "lust" is just not words I would use in my description. I think I know what you mean. It does look good & gives a nice attractive on stage appearence. Overall: Overall I would purchase this product again the way I'm using it. Again, I feel the overall value can only be proven in time. I expect Behringer overall to continue to perform. I have NO regrets. Nothing gets a 10 from me. I do believe there is always room for improvment.

Sound: I hear compliments all the time on how great this board sounds. I have also heard it at another DJ's show. Its all in the mix. speakers and cables help immensely also. I use 2 Peavey PR15s, 2 Peavey PR10s and one JBL JRX118SP powered subwoofer. Even for such low end speakers as the peaveys are I still think the sound is clean and clear for the money. I do wish it cranked a bit more power than 215w @ 8ohms. id like to see more around 300@8ohms and a full 600 at 4ohms since its advertised as 2x600 watt mixer. Feature: There were no accessories with this other than a power cable. ((WHOOPIE)) The one thing this board is MAJORLY lacking is the addition of a subgroup feature for those of us who aren't incapable of running a mixing board, and know what things like PFL and AFL mean and do. By the way they stand for PRE FADER LEVELS AND AFTER FADER LEVELS. and they are used to set...dun dun dun: The correct levels for each channel. The onboard FX are great...IF you know what does what. there are 99 available but only about 30 are listed on the board and the manual tells you....a big fat nothing. Also, 1/4" and XLR outputs would have been nice to have on the back of the board, with a better way to tune in the MONO channel for people like myself with powered subs. also a Left and a Right sub output would have been gravy. The last major complaint I have is that it is not rackmountable and I cannot for the life of me find a decent case for it, so I am lugging it around and have been for over the past year in the worn and tattered box which is falling apart. Ease of Use: If its just simple plug and play with a few guitars mics and drums, and maybe an iPod or CD player, and you have speakON connectors you should be gravy, just please pay attention to where your trims are set. if you have them turned all the way up and are using those as your main volumes, please go shoot yourself, and dont complain when you blow up the board multiple times. There is a crappy manual so i didnt give it a great score. Quality: I have been gigging with this on a regular basis and it seems to be holding up well for me, I try my best to take care of it though as well as all of my equipment. Value: for the buck it doesnt get any better. Manufacturer Support: havent dealt with them thankfully :) The Wow Factor: It looks pretty nice and people say man, thats a NICE board you're using. I feel it looks pretty professional, except to stuck up musicians who are biased with mackie or allen and heath, or something really high end. Hey, if you can afford that, BUY IT. Overall: Me personally? I work in smoky bars 1-4 nights a week and sometimes some weddings. Im not going to spend 1100 for the next step up which is most likely a yamaha EMX5014C which adds 300 bucks to the bottom line. Ill take the PMP3000 thanks ;)
