"Fusion" means this kit's not just for a standard drum set: you can use these 7 microphones for recording and reinforcing all sorts of percussion and acoustic instruments.

The FP7 Fusion packs all seven professional microphones in a protective aluminum carrying case, making it easy for you to tote all your mics to the live stage. It's perfect for touring, gigging, and studio applications alike.

One Audix F5 Mic for Guitar Cabs, Snare and More

A single Audix F5 microphone sports a hypercardioid pickup pattern for excellent isolation and feedback control when capturing guitar cabinets, snare, and timbales. For accurate, natural sound reproduction, the F5 has a LM (low mass) Type A diaphragm, plus a wide frequency response of 55 Hz to 15 kHz. With the F5, you get the sound you want without having to kill it with EQ.

Like the other microphones in this drum microphone package, Audix's F5 is ruggedly constructed with a precision-cast zinc alloy body, steel mesh grill, laser-etched model number, gold XLR connector, and a tension-fit nylon mic clip.

Three Audix F2 Mics for Rack Toms, Floor Toms or Congas

Capture rack toms, floor toms, and congas with a trio of F2s, which also feature a hypercardioid pickup pattern and LM Type read more A diaphragm. Tailored for toms, the three F2 mics have a frequency response of 52 Hz to 15 kHz and can handle sound pressure levels of up to 139 dB.

One Audix F6 for Kick Drum, Bass Cabs, and Beyond

Covering your low-end "basses," the F6 microphone is your best bet for kick drums, cajon, djembe, bass cabinets, large toms, and more, as it has a frequency response of 40 Hz to 16 kHz and SPL handling of up to 140 dB. As with the F2 and F5, the F6 delivers natural, accurate sound reproduction thanks to its hypercardioid polar pattern and LM Type A diaphragm.

Pair of F9 Condensers for Drum Overheads or Acoustic Instruments

Ideal for both stage and studio applications, dual F9 condenser microphones are what you want for recording drum overheads, high-hats, cymbals, snare bottom, acoustic instruments, and anything that shines in the upper frequencies. This condenser sports a 16 mm pre-polarized capsule with a gold vapor diaphragm and a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz.

Mics are easy to setup. Great sound all together. I would recommend getting the lug lock clamps. The stock clamps will break in a short time. They seem to not be very durable. I was truly impressed with the sound especially for first time use. The snare mic can be some what in the way. I would suggest a boom stand or setting up the mic for the bottom of the snare. I seem to get the best sound there anyway.
