"HONEST review from a DJ who has used a few different products."

The industry standard is the Technics MKII SL1200. I wanted to get a good pair of decks for not alot of money and I got what I paid for. I'm not disappointed with the Numark TT200. The motor gives up after a few minutes of moderate scratch exercises. These are probably ment for the intermediate/bedroom, so if thats you, you'll probably get alot use out of them.

Sound
The sound is fine, dont worry about that. I didnt use the Factory Numark headshells it came with though.

Features
The reverse feature is interesting, but i doubt anyone will really get ALOT of use from it. Same goes for the 2 Start/Stop buttons, nice idea, but not really that needed. Deck has a input for strobe...NOT INCLUDED. No dust cover means the rubberized sections of the deck will develope dust like mad. Power plugs & cords all input underneath the deck, which does save on clutter a bit.

Quality
Built pretty solid, Numark knows people arent looking for a PLASTIC turntable, so they disguise the plastic well. Everyone will tell you "Comes with straight or curved tone Arm" this is not true, factory standard is the straight arm out of the box. Rubber section of the deck collects dust like crazy, and makes you want to smack a Numark developer for not including a dust cover (available on older cheaper decks)

Value
Great Turntable for the DJ who wants to mix records at home, scratching read more records is a different story. The price is right for them, and they are pretty solid for mixing, pitch is pretty strong. Just dont expect to scratch like the big guys for very long.

Manufacturer Support
I've never had to speak with Numark Support. If I did, I'd ask them what i should do to protect my investment since there is no dust covers. LOL

The Wow Factor
The Curved rounded lines on the turntable look great. Rounded start/stop buttons are pretty cool. Im just not sure what the practicle application of the rubberized/metalized plastic was. :::shrug:::
