I ordered this guitar for its look, and the wood combination which is pretty much your standard Les Paul woods. There were no reviews or videos at the time but it just looked so damn cool I had to try it. Got here in 2 days! Super fast fed ex shipping! Anyways, the guitar looks amazing, feels sturdy and the setup is flawless right out of the box. The pickups are hot but still sound "woody" and very articulate. With heavy distortion, chords are tight and every string is audible. Not as midrangey as a LP so it's way more comfortable to sing over.. But the notes still ring on solos and the woman tone on the neck rivals a 490r or a Slash SD. Also, it's the first guitar I've heard that has an amazing split coil sound. It doesn't get weaker or muffled at all. It actually sounds closer to a Strat tone but not as tinny. Absolutely blown away by this guitar. I've never written a review, but I had to on this Solo II! I absolutely recommend it!!
