I ordered this guitar for its look, and the wood combination which is pretty much your standard Les Paul woods. There were no reviews or videos at the time but it just looked so damn cool I had to try it. Got here in 2 days! Super fast fed ex shipping! Anyways, the guitar looks amazing, feels sturdy and the setup is flawless right out of the box. The pickups are hot but still sound "woody" and very articulate. With heavy distortion, chords are tight and every string is audible. Not as midrangey as a LP so it's way more comfortable to sing over.. But the notes still ring on solos and the woman tone on the neck rivals a 490r or a Slash SD. Also, it's the first guitar I've heard that has an amazing split coil sound. It doesn't get weaker or muffled at all. It actually sounds closer to a Strat tone but not as tinny. Absolutely blown away by this guitar. I've never written a review, but I had to on this Solo II! I absolutely recommend it!!

Man o man...All I can say is put the other guitars away, this will just make them cry! Guitar is just beautiful looking and the sound is off the charts. Gibson could learn a thing or two. I'm very impressed. Hat's off to the people at Schecter. They're awesome. A must try for any guitar player!

New to guitars so this is all newbie stuff here. Looks amazing! I researched the PUP's and I expect them to be amazing as well. I bought a "like new" model which was a bit off fit and finish wise but I guess that happens. I have/noticed some fret buzz right out of the box so it wasn't set up to play immediately. I will go to a chain store and get the standard set up and I expect it to be just about perfect after that. The Zzounds customer service is always on point no matter when you call...I couldn't not rate so quality, sound and ease of use don't apply to this review.
