Love surprises. This is one. Looks beautiful straight out the box. Nice woodgrain presentation. Purchased this as a side snare, but after tuning it up we moved it to the business section. It really delivers way above its weight class. It’s got a lot of body, but the stock heads are kinda holding it back. We put a Remo Fibreskyn on ours and got a warmer, fuller tone than the Tama head that came with it. The stock reso and wires are doing their job for now, so we’ll wait before upgrading those. For less than $200 it’s a no brainer. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
