The 6.5 x 14" G-Walnut model features a 10-ply, 9mm thick Walnut shell. A distinctive voice in modern drum making, Walnut produces a rich and low fundamental pitch that lies between the warm balance of Maple and immense depth of Bubinga. The thicker shell is capable of producing a brighter tone than standard-ply Walnut drums, and increases sonic presence and punch. Highly dynamic, the G-Walnut is capable of articulating nuance-laced, low volume stickings in one moment, then screaming with an abandoned roar the next moment.

The 30-strand Snappy snare wires add a thicker snare sound than standard snare wires. The Sound Arc Hoop was specially developed for Tama's S.L.P series snare drums and feature an inward-curved, 2.3mm steel hoop that offers sensitivity, precise tuning, and control.

Solid Brass tube lugs complement the Matte Black Walnut finish for a clean and modern profile. Silky-smooth tension rods make subtle tuning changes a breeze, letting you dial in just the right amount of tension for perfect tone every time.
