Tama HP30 Stage Master Single Bass Drum Pedal

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
The single chain Tama HP30 bass drum pedal has an offset cam for a fast and powerful response, and a dual-sided plastic and felt beater for a variable tone.
Overview
The HP30 utilizes the same offset cam design as the Iron Cobra Power Glide. The offset cam offers increased power and speed as the beater reaches the end of the stroke. The beater angle can be easily adjusted, a feature that is usually found only on more expensive pedals. The new DS30 beater offers two different sounds: by rotating the beater head, you can choose felt for a softer controlled sound, or plastic for a louder and punchier sound.
Power Glide
Both the HP200B and HP30 single chain pedals utilize the same offset cam shape as TAMA's best selling Iron Cobra Power Glide.
Beater Angle Adjustment
You won't find adjustable beater/footboard angles on most pedals in this price range. But the HP200B and HP30 come standard with an angle adjustment system linked to the footboard angle. So you can easily recall your favorite angle setting, both the HP200B and HP200TWB feature an "Angle Memory Cap."
Spring Tension Adjustment
Inspired by Iron Cobra's "Spring Tight" feature, this specially shaped nut prevents the spring unit from loosening.

It's cheap, light, and folds up a bit smaller than most pedals. The problem is that it makes a relatively high-pitched "clunk" sound on every hit. My old Pearl pedal, which was almost as cheap, is much quieter.
