Hey, it's Mason from zZounds with some things to know about the Soundcraft Notepad-5. This is a compact analog mixer that gives you a lot of options with how you want to use it. You've got five channels here. Channel one is a combination input that offers phantom power as well as a high-Z switch. You've got EQ controls for high and low frequencies, as well as a gain control, volume, and monitor volume, which you'll find on the rest of the other channels. Channels 2 and 3 give you line inputs, and channels 4 and 5 are RCA.

You've got stereo XLR outs as well as a master monitor output. There's a master level control here with indicators, including clipping. You can also use this as a USB audio interface. Soundcraft included a USB-A output here to connect and record to a DAW.

I use this for live trivia shows—it's great, it's got everything I need. I also use it at home to run just to play music from my laptop through to my studio monitors, so it's very flexible and easy to transport.
