By reducing the influence of bass-heavy elements on the detector circuit, kick drums and bass can retain their depth and impact without driving excessive gain reduction across the rest of the mix.

The genuine stereo external side-chain input supports both creative processing and advanced delivery workflows. When printing individual stems, the complete mix can feed the side-chain while each stem passes separately through the audio path. Every stem therefore receives the gain-reduction behavior it experienced within the full mix, helping preserve the balance and movement of the approved production across alternate versions and deliverables.
