The RS110a features all the essential connections for integration with any sound setup. The on-board mixer is equipped with two selectable Mic/Line XLR-1/4" combo input channels for mics or instruments, each with variable compressor controls. An additional 1/8" line level input offers connections for phones or external music players as well as Bluetooth connectivity. A USB wireless port can be used with Samson XPD series wireless microphone systems (sold separately). It also features an XLR Mix Output for connecting the RS110a to additional speakers.

I just bought one Samson RS110A to serve as a monitor for small live sound and dj events. For $179, it sounds great. It's easy to run off of a mixer and it has 2 channel inputs for pairing vocals, guitars, etc. The control knobs are a bit on the cheap side, but the overall cabinet construction is impressive. The issue I have is with Samson advertising this as a 300W powered speaker, which actually refers to peak power; the RMS, or continuous power handling, is only 170W (this most likely explains the low cost). It seems that a lot of manufacturers do this, but that doesn't make it acceptable. I did review the specs beforehand, and 170W RMS is plenty for my needs - so I am still happy with the purchase. For this misrepresentation, and the control knobs, I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
