Audio/visual
The RMP-3's large LCD provides easy-to-read instructional information, complete with a smooth-flow onscreen tempo meter that bounces from side to side. Large buttons and a clearly labeled front panel make using the RMP-3 a snap. It has a built-in speaker for the metronome sounds, or you can monitor your drumming, metronome, and internal audio through headphones if privacy is desired.
Rhythm Coach function -- Time Check
Your ability will increase rapidly with the Rhythm Coach function. In sync with the metronome, this exercise encourages you to strike the pad with accurate timing. The display informs how accurate your shot was in seven levels.
Rhythmic Notes
This provides basic training by changing the rhythm type every two measures. Particularly useful for pre-practice warm-up, this exercise helps you master the timing of various notes.
Stroke Balance
The display indicates how strong you play by using the metronome needle. You can improve the balance and accent with both hands via visual assistance.
A mesh practice pad for realistic feel and quiet practice!
Mesh drum pads have the distinct advantage of being quiet and realistic in feel. The secret is the material, woven from special fabric. This material is very durable, and provides a remarkably natural touch, just like an acoustic drum head. Now you can practice in silence without ever having to worry about sore wrists!
How mesh head works
When an acoustic drum head is struck, the surrounding air vibrates and a sound is produced. The harder it is struck, the more the head moves and the larger the sound. With a mesh head, the air is released from the gaps in the mesh fabric, so the surrounding air does not vibrate. This is what makes a mesh head so quiet.
