I love these decks, controllers, or turntables! Whatever you wish to call them, they work! I used Technics 1200 for years until finding viny records of new songs became impossible. My first attempt going into the DJ/software world was with the Denon SC-3900 decks. They were decent, but I missed the 12-inch platters. After watching videos on the Rane 12's for two years, I ordered them from zZounds, and they are super-fantastic. They feel just like my old Technics without the issues of needles, ground wires, and vibration interference. If your background started from turntables, these are the decks for you, hands down! You can customize everything about them to your specific needs with the appearance and feel, plus they are built like tanks. Get 'em and never look back!
