"Well, at first I was stocked for a hour or two but then i came to the realization....."

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
At first look compared to other samplers, the product is very impressive being that there's a lot of hands on editing, changes of sound effects. Informational once the research is done as I compared what other similar products can do along with a damn ipad or additional software for desktop usage/daw along with a LCD TV, this product should cost no more than $550 after tax. It's not that serious. Now I must say that I was only interested in buying this music equipment for music studio production. I also dream often of being a DJ. Maybe do weddings and what not so I was mesmerized of what this product can do all while viewing youtube vids of intuitive it seems to produce music/DJ. I honestly don't think I'm being harsh about the price value. I feel as tho it's extremely over priced which I can see why the company decided to price these Pioneer DJ products so high. The revenue a DJ would bring in nightly along with the life style. Hell yea, I'd go or it but again, I found this product based on thee algorithm of googling mi4di-pad-sampler-best. BTW, do something with the material and boxy, *blocky shoped*, 80s tech when you Roland guys are in the production of the next product. The small touch screen look nice along with the pads of course but the turn out surrounding the knobs and gadgets give out a very cringe feel. I see why most of the vids on youtube have the lights turned off or very dim which is the usual look for a club-going environment.Don't judge me as some jerk, I'm read more not the one who's selling a big booty looking bulky block titled as a (SAMPLER) to lore those who are seeking a pad controller for studio production. Next time do a better job with the pricing and look! Also the obvious would be a better layout of software that actrually mirrors the prodduct better with a few software gadgets in beteween instead of having to search through top and side menues within the software. It's 2023, how can a company that sells music software made for the use of producing/sampling sounds /music not have a software that resembles the hardware which gives the consumer the ease of using the product. I've seen korg keyboards, blofied, maschine etc have way better software layouts. I understand why the Pioneer SP-16 was discontinued. The BS reason about shortage of hardware chip production isn't the 1 reason why. It's obviously many being that it wouldn't be worth the trouble of going through with the producing more units. Exactly how were the sells on this unit. I would admit that its sad how there's not good enough good advertisement on social media on this product. I seen very little consumers who took the time to advertise it. Didn't sound pleased or optimistic about the product but still did a better job than the Roland reps on you tube advertising the item. There are about 10 other similar products at a better price. Random, ....as for something like a Akai Live II, *LOL......* I'd riot inside a guitarcenter and steel a damn $1,299 plus tax unit before i would buy a damn sampler. Is it me or are the pads a tad bigger than other pad controllers? If so, nice! make them fk'n bigger! I don't understand why all these pad controllers seem to be the same size, of course I'm not asking for those drum-precision pads. I'm just saying, it'd better a lot better and worthy of buying the next roll out of pad controllers in the near feature, It would be more motivational to come out the pocket for one along with great software integration. I'm clearly being very critical of this item because I became disappointed within a few hours of researching, trying to get a better grasp of the product. It got to the point where I realized that I, as a individual interested in a pad sampler and rhythm creation made me feel like i was being duped. Although I must say that I was impressed by the rhythm and tempo options but then again, what big name branded pad controller doesn't have that option. This product ultamely is nothing special. DJ's looking to make easy money while having fun and having on night stands, go for it if you can handle the spending cost. Just make sure to keep the lights off and obviously make sure to surround it with nice looking turn tables and speakers while looking at the damn thing. *shrugs/looks elsewhere*
