I have to point out, I was searching on this site, and looking at the McCarty 594 single cut, and it says in the description that it has the 58/15 LT "s" pick ups. This is incorrect on the site. The 2024 models do you have the USA made 58/15 LT pickups and USA wiring. I used the chat box to confirm with someone from zZounds, and Zach was kind enough to do the research and confirm for me. zZounds has amazing customer service. That being said, this guitar came, out of the box, set up to play. I adjusted the bridge down a tiny bit. That was all. Neck was perfect. Prior to this purchase, I tested out some USA Gibson LPs at a $3000 price point as well as some other high-end guitars and I have to honestly say that nothing comes close to the sound, fullness, playability, beauty and the value of this McCarty 594. PRS knocked it out of the park again by offering a USA made guitar, with a beautiful maple top, a wonderful and comfortable carve and a tone that no one would regret having in the bag. If you love that killer vintage rock 'n' roll clarity, this is it. And when you add some high gain to it, it gives that super crisp tone you hear on some of the great hard rock and metal album albums over the years. I could not possibly say enough of how this guitar is worth the money. I should've preface this all by saying that I have had multiple PRS guitars, including S2 and SE line (never owned Core). I had purchased another SE just to try it out and sent it back because it was not what I read more was really looking for (just bland, playable, but not inspiring or special). Then I decided to just blow the wad and get what I want. This S2 tops every other S2, IMO. And while the SE's are nice, they don't really compare. Spend the money, get the USA guitar. And get the right pickups!I have still hung onto my Gold SE model DGT, as it has it uses, but I did have to do fretwork amongst other things on that guitar and it took a long time for the neck to settled. This S2 McCarty 594, has not needed a neck adjustment the entire time I've had it in these first two weeks. Solid build, stays in tune sounds and plays like a $5000 guitar. Best bang for buck. Do it!
