Overview

The Custom 22 Vine with an Artist Grade figured maple 10 top is a very Limited Edition guitar. In celebration of Paul Reed Smith's 30th Anniversary year, this gorgeous guitar offers a new inlay pattern: The 30th Anniversary Vine. Inspired by the PRS Tree of Life inlay design, the Vine is an elegant inlay made from Mother of Pearl, Paua, and Paua Heart.

The Custom 22 is a classic guitar with distinctive midrange and clarity. Loaded with 57/08 treble and bass pickups paired with a 5-way blade switch (which offers a dual humbucking option), the Custom 22 offers exceptional tone and versatility.

I was really blessed to snag the last one from American Musical Supply (a.k.a. zZounds) in this color. Which is a Private Stock color! Plus it was here cheaper than the few remaining Aquamarine Vines are going for on the web. I've seen them listed between $6K - $7K. This guitar is stunning and a joy to play. The vine inlay work (along with the birds) looks great on the Gaboon Ebony fretboard. Honestly, I feel this is very close to a Private Stock guitar. The 57/08 pickups sound amazing! The flame maple neck just...wow! This is my second PRS, my first was the 30th Anniversary Custom 24 S2. Don't know if a Private Stock is in my future but I'm extremely happy with this one!
