zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Get the famed quality and tone of a PRS with a sleek, semi-hollowbody design.
Overview
The PRS Paul Reed Smith SE Custom Semi-Hollow has the same basic appointments as the SE Custom - mahogany back, maple top, 22-fret wide-fat mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and SE humbucking pickups. The addition of a hollow chamber and modern f-hole give it a musical midrange and internal reverb that make this a very light, comfortable and versatile guitar.

Right out of the box this guitar begged to be played and it was indeed. The craftsmanship and the sound were just breathtaking. I've owned several guitars in my long life, and this one tops them all. It's utter beauty is simply stunning. The pickups are just amazing, giving me any tone I need for rock, jazz, blues and everything in between.
Sound
I would put this guitar up against any brand made in America. I've owned Gibson, Mosrite, Fender and (good) Epiphones. The sound is so crisp to very warm and deep. The PRS humbuckers are superb. The volume, tone and selector are first class. All around a great sounding guitar.
Features
I love simplicity and that's what this guitar is all about. It has a perfect weight distribution with only a volume, tone and selector switch. And again, the pickups are in a league of their own. The Bigsby tail piece is great. The neck is superb, wide, fat jumbo frets that make your fingers just slide into place. The body, neck and sound hole are all bound.
Ease of Use
Easy as it gets. Setup was a snap. Intonation and action were spot on. A very, very easy guitar to play.
Quality
The overall quality is above reproach. The locking tuners, binding, fantastic finish, great pickups and a real Bigsby put this guitar in a whole new category. If it were made in America I'm sure it would have cost at least $2000.00 or more. It does come… read more with a very high quality gig bag. I'll buy a hard shell case pretty soon.
Value
Absolutely! This guitar is the best value I could find and believe me, I did a lot of comparison shopping. It's a steal at $855.00
