PRS adds the bite of a bolt-on maple neck to their sonic recipe with the CE Standard. An all-mahogany body tempers the maple's bite for a balanced sound.

Overview

The CE 24 pairs PRS's traditional body made from mahogany with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a pattern thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel. To further maximize the guitar's inherent tone and clarity, the CE Standard features PRS 57/08 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with three-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds. Comes in a high quality PRS gig bag.

The set up from factory was horrific. Truss adjusted action lowered it plays like butter. Fast smooth perfect fretwork. Even the truss rod is smooth and buttery. Tone is overall warm but clear and defined with a brilliant sparkle that is not ear piercing. I really love the tapped sounds of the 57/08's. Incredible single coil sounds.I can't wait to see how the finish wears.
